Valentines Craze

Here comes Valentines Day again and people are probably scavenging ideas on what to give or what to do. My advice? Keep it simple. It’s always best to be simple because this particular day is not meant to overwhelm someone. It’s meant to show love and appreciation to the people we have in our lives. And as much as possible, avoid flowers and chocolates this time.

My family spends Valentines Day in a very unique way. We gather around with all the sweet treats on the table and we play games. We use cards where there are different situations being presented and we use them to strengthen the foundation of our family’s relationship to one another.

Others, spend it differently or more to the point the usual way. They go on dates, they eat out, they stroll the park, enjoy fireworks, and others. But in my opinion, what truly makes this day memorable is the thought that the people you love and cherish are there with you whether or not you have dinner dates and what nots. So try and spend this day a little less extravagant. BE THOUGHTFUL at every moment and prove your love for each other.

Eventually, we’ll all get tired of chocolates, roses, and dinner dates. Soon enough we’ll demand each other’s time. And when we do, we will want every loved one to be there and simply present to enjoy each other’s company.
